Chef John Howie And Tim Lodahl present rare & well done ultimate whiskey and food experience

Tickets Now Available for Two Events Showcasing the World’s Best Whisk(e)y, Scotch, Bourbon and More

For the first time since 2019, Rare & Well Done, the Pacific Northwest’s premier whiskey event is back and will be held on two dates in October and November at Whiskey by John Howie, known to have the best global whiskey selection on the Eastside. Whiskey aficionados from curious to connoisseur will be treated to tastes of the finest and most highly prized whiskies from around the world served with perfectly paired fine bites prepared by John Howie Steak. 

Rare & Well Done Part I – October 12, 2022, 6:30 p.m.

The first Rare & Well Done session will feature 50-75 whiskeys, including Beam Suntory, Bacardi, Edrington, Whistlepig, Pernod, Hotaling & Co., Sazerac, and Wildwood Spirits Co.

Every guest will be treated to a variety of culinary tastes including: Ancho-chili smoked shrimp with BBQ hollandaise sauce, American Wagyu sliders with Cremini mushrooms, fontina cheese, arugula and truffle spread, blue cheese Asiago-blue cheese stuffed red potatoes, mesquite grilled sirloin cap roast slices with maître d’ sauce, bacon jam stuffed gougère, Porcini mushroom soup, black truffle crème, smoked gouda caramelized onion mac-n-cheese, smoked beef brisket pizza, roasted Kalbi pork tenderloin slices, baked oysters, with bourbon, and bacon gremolata, fried Louisville chicken bites with bourbon BBQ sauce, bourbon butterscotch crème brulè, dark chocolate truffles, warm bread pudding with bourbon sauce. Rare & Well Done tickets are limited and available for $250, all inclusive.

Rare & Well Done, The Exquisite and Extraordinary – November 5, 2022, 6:30 p.m.

Guests attending Rare & Well Done, The Exquisite and Extraordinary tasting event, will taste up to 100 whiskies paired with special appetizers. Additionally, every private barrel selection of John Howie Steak will be available, as well as rare and harder to find whiskies. Bottles will be poured while supplies last.

Every guest will enjoy the following culinary tastes: roasted garlic shrimp on onion crostini, American Wagyu filet mignon with truffle butter, Italian sausage stuffed Cremini mushrooms, mesquite grilled sirloin cap roast slices, fried chicken sliders with Nashville pickles, chicken liver pate stuffed black pepper gougère, lobster bisque with Osetra caviar, seared smoked sea scallops with garlic crème, Parmigiano Reggiano, smoked hazelnut crumble and chives, Japanese Wagyu shabyu-shabyu pizza, lamb lollipops, roasted lamb and herb demi glace, Scotch poached oysters, tempura bacon crostinis, herb crusted Ahi on fresh potato chips with truffle vinaigrette, milk chocolate pecan brittle bites, dark chocolate truffles, bourbon butterscotch panna cotta with dark chocolate drizzle. A limited number of Exquisite and Extraordinary tickets are available for $600, all inclusive.
